Every student who walks in leaves their information in many places.
A student calls your coaching centre. You take their name and phone number. They fill an admission form. They pay fees. They join a WhatsApp group. They use your app. They give feedback. By the end, their information is sitting in ten different places. Most institute owners do not even know this is happening. If you run a coaching centre, tuition class, or training institute — this applies to you today.
Think about one student joining your institute. First, they fill an enquiry form — name, phone, class needed. Then an admission form — Aadhaar number, parent details, address. Then fee receipt — payment info. Then they join your WhatsApp group — their number is now visible to everyone. Then they use your test app — their scores and login details are saved. That is five places already. The new data law says you must protect all of this. You must ask permission before collecting. You must not share it without reason.
Write down every place where you collect student information today.
Make your WhatsApp groups private so student numbers stay hidden.
